Pine Bluff School District in Arkansas rings in the new year with a new dining services partnership with K-12 by Elior where nine schools with a total enrollment of 3,700, plus 500 employees, will be fueled to learn with great meals, fresh ingredients, trending flavors, and the latest in nutrition and wellness! K-12 by Elior began services on January 2, 2024.
According to Fannie Austin, Director of Child Nutrition for Pine Bluff School District, “K-12 by Elior was selected for its reputation in serving high-quality food options and culinary experiences to k12 schools in Arkansas and surrounding states, including letters of recommendation from Nashville Schools in Arkansas and the Madison County School District in Mississippi.”
K-12 by Elior will serve both breakfast and lunch to Pine Bluff’s five preschool and elementary buildings, two junior high and two high schools. In addition to daily culinary services, catering will be offered to administration, faculty events, and meetings. K-12 by Elior will be introduced during an upcoming January school board meeting. “It’s a great way for the administration to get to know us, our catering expertise and to try some of our delicious menu options,” says Stephany Griebler, PHR, District Manager.
K-12 by Elior has appointed Julie Smith as the district’s new general manager, providing culinary leadership and onsite personalized guest services. A new look featuring digital signage will also showcase the school’s menus, nutrition information, and special programs such as K-12 by Elior’s Global Bites which celebrates cultural foods monthly from countries around the globe.
